SAPL Press Digilabs - Frequently Asked Questions

The following FAQ's apply to both the My Photo Books and the My Photo Calendars and Cards software applications for PC and Macintosh.

If you can't find your answer here or in the software's Help / User Guide, please call the lab or email (see left menu: Company - Contact SAPL ).

Software Installation

  1. How do I check for software updates? Is there a charge to update?

    On Windows PCs, in the My Photo Books or My Photo Calendars program group that was created when you installed the software, select Check for Updates. With a Macintosh you must download the latest version of the software. Next, install the download and then Get Info on the new program. Compare the version number to your previous installation. Delete the oldest version. There is never a cost for software updates.
  2. Where do I download the software?

    Click here to download Windows and Macintosh versions of My Photo Books and My Photo Calendars and Cards.
  3. How do I install the Macintosh software?

    If using the Safari browser, you must check your Safari preferences before downloading. In Safari, select Preferences from the menu. Under the General tab, uncheck "Open Safe Files After Downloading". Also, open Stuffit from the Applications folder and in preferences uncheck "Automatically Expand Archives". Then, download the software. This should put a zip file in the location where you download files. Double click on the zip file and it should extract the program file.
  4. Will my saved projects and images be available after updating the software?

    Yes, any book, calendar or card project saved in an earlier version will not be deleted and can be opened in the updated software.
  5. My Project was created in another company's version of the software. Can I upload this project to SAPL?

    You will be able to open projects created in another company's version of the software, in most cases. However, when ordering you may receive an error message that the product is not available. Call SAPL Imaging (210-826-8622) to complete your order.

Uploading Orders and Checkout

  1. How long should it take to upload an order?

    The upload time will vary widely according to the type and size of your product and the speed of your Internet connection. Assuming a high-speed connection (DSL), a typical greeting card uploads in 1-3 minutes. A 20 page book may require 30+ minutes to upload.
  2. Where do I enter my payment information?

    After your order upload is complete, the software will automatically open a Web browser page for checkout.
